Community Town Hall Meeting to Discuss Healthcare on the Coast, December 4
The Mendocino Coast Healthcare Alliance (MCHA) is sponsoring a community forum: “Envisioning the Future of our Health and Healthcare on the Coast” at the Fort Bragg Town Hall, on Sunday, December 4th, from 7 to 9 pm.
This meeting will feature a town hall discussion following a brief introduction. Members of the community are encouraged to attend.
The Mendocino Coast Healthcare Alliance is a grassroots community organization. The mission of the MCHA is to promote health and healing on the Mendocino Coast through community discussion, planning and action, in concert with health professionals, healthcare organizations, and government agencies. The vision of the MCHA is a local healthcare system which provides unsurpassed services responsive to the needs of people on the coast.
The three founders of the MCHA are all committed to local healthcare. Mark D. Kline, M.D., is a psychiatrist practicing at the Mendocino Coast Clinic. Paul D. Abramson, M.D., is a family physician who practices as a hospitalist and emergency physician in Fort Bragg. Richard Louis Miller, M.A., Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist and executive consultant in Fort Bragg.
“This is an opportunity for citizens to participate in a process of envisioning, planning and action to promote health and healthcare on the coast” explains Dr. Kline.
“Community action can create new healthcare resources for our region, as it has in the past. This town hall meeting is an opportunity for us to think together, assess our needs, and collectively plan for our future” says Dr. Miller.
The MCHA encourages all interested community members to mark the date so they can attend and participate.
